Building Code Consulting

With increasing frequency, legislators at both the state and federal levels are using their resources to influence the outcomes of code change proposals, and using the model code development process to implement their political agendas. A strong advocacy program is built on relationships with those individuals who make policy and/or enforce laws impacting the construction industry.

InterCode maintains relationships in specific states with thought-leaders and other credible stakeholders. ICI develops customized campaigns specific to each client's objectives. ICI has been participating in the building code and standard development process at the national level for 25 years.

ICI has participated in code and standard writing and development committees and task groups charged with developing and maintaining the building codes and standards.
