Advocacy
With increasing frequency, legislators at both the state and federal levels are using their resources to influence the outcomes of code change proposals, and using the model code development process to implement their political agendas. A strong advocacy program is built on relationships with those individuals who make policy and/or enforce laws impacting the construction industry.
ICI maintains relationships in specific states with thought-leaders and other persons of influence at the federal level, and has been successful in bringing attention to issues that are of concern to ICI clients.
